What? Android 11 users you have to install the certificate by yourself?

 

Android 11 provides better protection on data, yes, but it also introduce some other annoying features that would make things harder. 

When you are using PentestSuite under the Android 11, you will have to install the certificate by yourself instead of merely clicking the button I provided for quickly installing. 

Since we can't directly install it, we have to

1 download the certificate

2 install the certificate from the system configuration page.

PentestSuite v3.1

In PentestSuite v3.1, I will make it determine if you are using Android 11 or later version and if that so, PentestSuite will direct you to select a place to save the SSL CA certificate. After saving this certificate, you will need to install the certificate from the system setting page. I hope it can make this process easier somehow. 

Android 10 or earlier version

And it you are using Android 10 or earlier version, you definitely can be able install the certificate by merely clicking the button.

For completeness of this article, I want you to know you can download the certificate from the http server hosted by PentestSuite(Often http://127.0.0.1:8080).
